10 Extraordinary people with superhuman abilities that the world never really knew
4 Dean Karnazes can run without stopping
Ultra marathon runner Dean Karnazes can run 3 days without stopping or sleeping. What gives Dean this remarkable ability is his absence of a lactose threshold. In a normal body, it is the lactate threshold that inhibits us to go beyond the limits of our endurance. We may start gasping for air and experience muscle fatigue but Dean however experiences no such symptoms giving him the ability to run for days and nights without even sleep. Dean has run a marathon to the South Pole without snowshoes in -25 C.
