Salar de Uyuni is world’s largest salt plain in South west Bolivia. During 1888, as salt mining was on the boom, British engineers built a railroad that was completed in 1892. But by 1940, the mining had dwindled and the railway was not used anymore and the rail wagons and steam engines were abandoned. You can still see many steam engines, manufactured in UK in this eerie place.
