1 Hope in the form of Jean Lancaster
Jono Lancaster suffered from Treachers Collins syndrome which has no cure however treatments can help manage the disease. Just few hours after being born, he was abandoned for being ugly and that too by his parents. He was subsequently adopted by a woman named Jean Lancaster.
Jono faced trying moments at school as he relates “They’d pull their eyes down, or run away, yelling that they’d catch my disease. I’d ask Jean why they did that, and she’d cry. Then I felt guilty that I’d made my mom cry.”
