Boy in Denmark makes incredible discovery on his farm proving his grandfather was not joking
When Klaus Kristiansen found out that his son Daniel was given a history assignment about World War II as homework, he joked with the kid suggesting he go look for an aircraft. A few days later the boy shocked him. He had actually found one.
The schoolboy found a German fighter right there on the family farm. As incredible as this sounds, when Daniel went searching with a metal detector he actually found the remains of a Messerschmitt fighter plane buried beneath the earth with several possessions intact. It was amazing.

Klaus Kristiansen thought he was joking but 14 year Daniel took his words literally. “When Daniel was recently given homework about World War Two, I jokingly told him to go out and find the plane that is supposed to have crashed out in the field,” he told a Danish radio station.
The boy used a metal detector to scour the fields surrounding his farm in Birkelse, Northern Denmark. It was indeed a shock when the detector started beeping. What the boy’s family dug up astonished and bewildered them completely. It was a Messerschmitt 109, the pride of the Luftwaffe which may have been shot down and crashed into the fields near Daniel’s home in Buirkelse in 1944.
