Farmers in Switzerland are Drilling huge holes in stomachs of Cows; watch the video for the weird reason
Holy Cow!! What next, Farmers in Switzerland are following a bizarre trend of drilling huge holes in the side of a cow and fitting them with plastic rings to keep them stretched open and for a very weird reason which ultimately benefits them of course.
Several videos and pictures have surfaced of show cows with these large plastic rings with cannulas or large holes cut into their stomachs. Called fistulated cows or cannulated cows the animal’s abdomens are being drilled open to expose their stomachs an experimental practice carried out at veterinary schools. Farmers a have said, the practice does not hurt the cows and neither does it decrease their life expectancy.
1 The method is called fistulating and now we have fistulated cows
The process of fistulated cows is a method of mutilation which takes at least a month to six weeks for the animal to recover. Can anyone doubt the fact that the animals are uncomfortable within such a period? Swiss farmers have said it actually improves their farming. The method was in researched extensively before intitating the actual process. Somehow it’s proved a success from the farming perspective not the cows of course and the trend has spread.
